Additional lasers
The ImageStream comes standard with a 488nm laser.
Up to two additional lasers may be added to increase the system sensitivity and expand the range of usable fluorescent dyes. Additional laser options include:
Violet Laser, 405nm

Suitable for excitation of DAPI, Hoechst dyes, Alexa Fluor 405 or 430, Cascade Blue, Pacific Blue and others. The high power of this laser allows it to be used with many dyes that would normally require the use of a UV laser.

EDFTM Extended Depth of Field Technology
The EDF option for the ImageStream system includes all required modifications to the instrument and IDEAS software, installation, testing, documentation and user training. The EDF option can be included with a new ImageStream system or installed as a field upgrade.

Software
IDEAS® Cell Image Analysis Software
The IDEAS software package is an enormously powerful, yet exceptionally accessible tool for quantitative analysis of cell images and for the evaulation of image-based data across entire cell populations.
IDEAS provides over 250 built-in analytical features and unlimited flexibility in the development of new features as required by the application.
Each ImageStream system is supplied with two seats of IDEAS software. Additional seats may be purchased, as may laboratory and site licenses.

Reagents and Solutions
SpeedBead® ImageStream Calibration Reagent
The SpeedBead regent is required for operation of the ImageStream system, allowing the instrument to precisely track flow rate and core position. Each Speedbead kit contains 24 individual vials, sufficient for approximately 400 samples.

ImageStream Certified Sheath Solution 
Small variations in sheath fluid osmolarity or composition can affect the successful functioning of the ImageStream system. The Certified Sheath solution comes pre-tested on the ImageStream, insuring that you will encounter no problems attributable to this basic, yet important reagent. Amnis ImageStream Certified Sheath solution is supplied as a case of 6 x 1L bottles.
